Rain Rain Go Away, Save those pennies and play.

The old saying goes, save your pennies for another day. In modern day, that loosely translates to stop spending money on booze and food, and start saving for books or the light bill.

I recently broke that rule by buying candy-no, not for an occasion but to mope with on Valentine’s Day.

As I eat Hershey’s kisses out of a bag I look at the rain and think of that old saying. As we get older, should finances be above that shoe sale or that night out with the girls? Yes. So instead of spending that $10 on a bar cover, save it and spend the night in with the girls, pizza and romantic comedies.

So, remember ladies, as much fun and well, socially acceptable bar-hopping may be, save those pennies and put it toward something big and even more fun-living out your inner princess at Disney World.

After all, when you wish upon a star…
